Guided Tissue Regeneration

Guided tissue regeneration is the reconstruction and regrowth of lost bone and ligament due to periodontal disease.  A specialized piece of material is used to cover a crater in the bone, after the defect is meticuously cleaned. This material is sewn around a tooth to cover a crater in the bone that has been meticulously cleaned. This helps the bone and ligament grow in a protected environment.
